Okay I know I promised more drawings with expression but I just got a 30 day trial with corel painter 12 and i must say...i'm very pleased with this product. Forget what i said about taking a break from semi realism. Sketchbook pro just isn't made for realistic painting.

The Intuos won't feel too different from a bamboo. I own both types and honestly I can't see it, with the exception that finer/lighter strokes come through better on the Intuos. As for SKB Pro. It is mostly for just sketching, or putting lines down fast. While you can do finished pieces with it, it is not really meant for that. I ink a lot of my lines on SKB Pro then move on corel painter. Though I honestly find Corel Painter 100 times more difficult to use.

Blending on SKB Pro can be done but not at the brush level per se, you have to fiddle with opacity and brush types to get the effect you want.
